When Sam reached out for me to photograph her Mali Brae Farm wedding a couple of years ago, I seriously could not contain my excitement. I had been wanting to photograph at Mali Brae for ages, and now a good friend of mine was going to make it happen! Sam and I met on a European Contiki adventure in 2011 – we bonded over our love of good food and dance floors (although these days my hips aren’t as limber as they used to be!) – so it was extra special to document her and Todd’s nuptials.
I’ve been fortunate enough to photograph several more Mali Brae farm weddings since then, and every time I step out onto the property there is a stillness and beauty that you only find here in the Kangaroo Valley. This makes Mali Brae Farm the perfect place to celebrate a wedding. Not to mention, the owners, Greg & Shelley are two of the most genuine and caring humans I’ve encountered at a venue in all my years.
