2016 has been another wild year… I photographed 40 weddings across Sydney, the Southern Highlands, the Hunter Valley, Melbourne and abroad (inc. Thailand, Fiji and Switzerland); Britt & I got married (woohoo!); two weeks after our wedding I was best man (and faux-videographer) at my best man’s wedding, and before the year is out I will be a guest at one more wedding – my cousin Alison’s! Weddings, weddings, weddings for everyone!
It’s been a sensational year, and it really is all thanks to the amazing couples who have opened their hearts and had me along for the crazy ride.
Reflecting on the past twelve months, I’ve learnt so much. I’ve learned more about relationships & family, I’ve learned more about sacrifice and selfless love, I have learned more about hard work and determination, and I have learned more about (and developed a whole new level of appreciation for) weddings and wedding planning than I could have ever imagined. It’s been absolutely surreal.
In typical fashion, I’ve completely neglected the blog this year and haven’t blogged a single 2016 wedding. It’s actually really embarrassing. It’s not too late to make up for it though, so I hope you enjoy this collection of some of my favourite photographs from the year. Thank you again for your all your support – I can’t wait for an amazing 2017!
