Gunners Barracks Wedding Photography | Ryan & Jena

Ryan and Jena met on a flight to Beijing. He was the pilot. She was the first class attendant. He came out of the cockpit to make himself some coffee, not wanting to trouble the cabin crew with his demands. She mistook this gesture of kindness as a complete lack of crew appreciation. And so the story goes that what started off on the wrong foot, a giant misunderstanding 30,000 feet above ground, turned into possibly one of the sweetest love stories ever. The stuff dreams are made of.

Ryan hails from the USA mid-west. Jena from Sydney’s suburbs. Together, they live in Dubai working for one of the world’s largest airlines. Their wedding was held in Sydney at Gunners Barracks in Mosman, and it was all organised during a one-week visit to Sydney in March when both could synchronise their busy flying schedules. Guests flew in from around the world to celebrate with them, and it was a day like no other. This wedding oozed class and distinction, and Jena was a breathtakingly beautiful bride. Here is their story.

  • Really beautiful image making. The shot of the girls clinking champagne flutes, the way you captured the moment and the shadow - superb!

Nice work; the reception coverage looks really clean--good clear focus on one main subject, despite a lot going on--nice isolation there. The posed shots that you converted to low contrast black and white are amazing: good posing, great composition, and silky smooth conversion to black and white.
