Kate & Chris could not have asked for a more glorious day for their Palm Beach wedding at Dunes Restaurant & Kiosk. Being members of the local rowing team, a beachy affair with that sweet, salty breeze was exactly the vibe they were after. They injected so much of themselves into all the details of the day, including an impressive standing oar tunnel as they walked back down the aisle as husband & wife. But you know what? I think it’s probably best I leave Kate do the talking for this one, to tell you what she thought of the day and what she thought of having me there to document it all.
“INCREDIBLE!!! I have a love for photography so finding the right photographer for my wedding was one of my biggest priorities. After seeing some of Jono’s photos online I knew he had the vibe and skills I was looking for. My partner and I went to meet him and were so impressed with his easy going, calm and professional manner. We knew he would be the perfect fit for our wedding.
Jono made every effort to understand our needs and wants and to determine what type of wedding we were hoping to achieve. He always had lots of helpful tips and advice. His pre wedding “questionnaire” helped us to designate jobs, think about parts of the wedding we wanted to make sure got shot (even the finest details!), and made us think about logistics we hadn’t even thought about. It helped us to design our run sheet and ensured the day went off without a hitch.
On the day of the wedding I didn’t even know that Jono had arrived, he blended in so effortlessly and was taking the most beautiful candid snaps that could not have been achieved without his stealth! Our photos from our wedding day are just divine. So many beautiful moments captured beautifully.
Jono definitely has an eye for using the location to his advantage. Even though our wedding was by the beach, he choose to shot quite a few shots with the thick bush behind us. At the time, I remember thinking it was an odd choice- but those photos ended up being some of my most treasured photos! They look incredible in black and white.
Jono made sure that we scheduled the “golden hour” of sunset into our run sheet. Not only did this produce some incredible light drenched photos but it allowed my husband and I to finally have some time away from the wedding and take it all in together. I definitely recommend scheduling this time in, as it produced the most beautiful photos at that time of the evening.
Not only did Jono capture beautiful photos of our bridal party, but he captured the joy of our guests perfectly. The photos of the reception are filled with huge smiles, big laughs, a few happy tears and some terrible dance moves all being caught in the moment.
I could not recommend Jono more. His lovely nature, excellent communication and professional manner make him a perfect photographer for your wedding.”
