Michelle & Brett

Bendooley Estate is one of my all-time favourite wedding venues, located in Berrima in the Southern Highlands. It’s a jaw-dropping expanse of picturesque fields dotted with serene gardens, a majestic lake and the impressive Berkelouw Book Barn. It’s the perfect place to be married no matter what time of year it is. Michelle & Brett opted for a winter wedding in the middle of June and it was absolute bliss. I know a lot of couples tend to avoid having their wedding smack bang in the middle of winter, but to be honest, the winter sunset light is magical. It’s a shame that not many couples exploit it! If I could be a Bendooley Estate wedding photographer every weekend of the year (including winter!) I’d be a very. happy. wedding photographer. It’s not just the beauty of the grounds that draws me to the venue though, but the good hearts of those who work there too. Hands down the best wedding and events staff you will come across, the type that will go the extra mile every single time.

So, back to Michelle & Brett (and their daughter Millie)…. they are some of the most genuine, loving people I’ve ever had the opportunity to work with. It was incredibly special to watch Millie (and her cousins) walk down the aisle as Michelle’s bridesmaids/flowergirls, and even more heart-warming to see the girls’ involvement in the day every step of the way. It really was a beautiful family celebration and I’m so excited to be able to share that with you through my eyes.
