wedding | sydney harbour

I first met the bride to be around two years ago when she asked me to capture the launch of her second novel. It was a spectacular affair hosted in the grand halls of the NSW State Library. Imagine then, how excited I was, when she contacted me again a couple of years later to be there to capture her wedding! It was to be a small and intimate gathering at Matt Moran’s award-winning Aria Restaurant in Sydney. Overlooking a picturesque Sydney harbour, with the bridge in full view, this lucky bride and her special man, tied the knot in elegance and simplicity. Close friends and family watched on as they read their vows and confessed their commitment to each other. The Dalai Lama even made his mark on the event, having presented them with a khata as a gift at an earlier meeting. A traditional ceremonial scarf in Tibetan culture, the khata is a white silk scarf symbolising purity and compassion. It was fitting then, for them to have their hands tied in this ancient scarf to confirm their compassion for each other and to symbolise the beginning of this new stage of their relationship.

Following the ceremony, guests were invited to indulge in Sydney finest dining experience and share in the celebrations. It was such a beautiful ceremony that all enjoyed. Congratulations, and all the best on your journey ahead!
